How we work?

Te Rōpu Niho Ora is an important forum for MOHP’s to discuss strategic issues impacting on Māori oral health Providers and to identify processes for addressing those issues

Te Rōpu Niho is a valuable peer support network for often geographically isolated and/or sole Māori oral health providers in a region, who all operate in challenging environment - providing high cost services to high needs populations

Te Rōpu Niho has provided a collective voice for MOHP’s and is a pathway through which Providers can engage with Ministers and policy-makers, and for national advocacy work i.e. workforce

The market - privately funded dental - cannot and does not look not after people in poverty nor will it enable oral health equity

Provides support to the Government to meet oral health equity and Pae Ora, for Māori
